My story

When I was a little girl, my grandpa was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s. It started small—like forgetting to turn off the sink—but it quickly grew into something much bigger. By the time I was old enough to understand what it meant to have a grandfather, he didn’t know how to be mine. It felt like having a grandpa who wasn’t truly there. When I asked my mom why he wasn’t getting better, her answer was always the same: “There’s no cure for this disease.”
Millions of children experience the heartbreak I did, watching someone they love slip away in ways that words cannot capture. That’s why I’m committed to fighting Alzheimer’s—not just for my grandpa, but for the countless families who deserve a future where love and memories don’t fade
